A Satoshi is the smallest unit of the bitcoin cryptocurrency and the base unit of exchange on the Bitcoin SV network. 1 Bitcoin SV is equal to 100 million (10^8) Satoshis. The Satoshi unit is named after Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous author of the 2008 Bitcoin whitepaper and creator of the bitcoin cryptocurrency.
